The RELIGION/MAGIC SKILL in this game system can help you deal with situations and make your weapon attack rolls a little better and give you a little protection from attacks and a small amount of healing. These powers come from your god or deity and give you an edge against the odds but are not a game breaking weapon that make you a God yourself. This is not Harry Potter you won't be able to kill things with a magic wand, but your magic may make your attacks more accurate and do more damage. Other spells can also help you dominate other situations, you can see them in the new spell casters guide. As you increase your magic level , you automatically learn more spells and can cast more times per day, and more times per turn. You do not have to pick only certain spells or prepare them so you will be ready no matter what the GM throws at you nor can the GM pick monsters that you are not prepared for.
The new character creation sheets can make it a breeze to create and level up your character in less than 5 minutes, while not leaving you confused or digging in categorized books. This lets you spend more time playing and being creative.
WHAT IS THE FIREWINDS GAME SYSTEM?
The Firewinds RPG system is designed is designed around 2 fundamentals, 1. to be much easier to learn and play for beginners and 2. more fair and balanced than D&D and other game systems that leave some player overpowered and other players weak.
The Firewinds game system does not require as much character planning and optimization as D&D and you are less likely to end up with a weak worthless character. THERE ARE NO SPECIAL CLASS OR RACE ABILITIES. In this system everyone can equally fight, heal or cast magic and other skills to start, then YOU GET TO CHOOSE which skills to put points in, and not be disabled in certain skill categories by the class or race like other game systems.
With the firewinds system you can advance your character in the way you want it do grow without being limited to what the pre told story of what your race or class is supposed to be able to do or not be able to do.
This leads to less meta gaming and rules lawyering between the players and also means you are less likely to let the party down cause you failed to build your character around their needs, or find that your character is unsupported because other players failed to build their character around your weaknesses.
The Firewinds game system also does not require the GM to let you cheat and start at a higher level than 1st level when building a character, which is the #1 way people cheat at D&D.
Everyone has the same ability to hit and be hit in this TARGETED AC SYSTEM and head shots do double damage. Damage in other areas could leave you with a peg leg or wooden hand. You can use the optional (but harder) AIMED SHOT ATTACK to target an enemy's weak spots or disarm them.
Scale-able enemy attack dice allows low level players to fight along side high level players and less likely to get wiped out in one hit .
Firewinds is a fair game system that will get everyone down to adventuring and telling their story.
